NEWS Center 新闻中心 Latest Top News: 最新动态 OUCBI and IBS (International Business Society) will co-host the Olympic Day Games Nov.3rd 2007 OUCBI and IBS will organize Olympic Day games in Ping Center. The games include Basketball, Indoor Soccer, Volleyball, Table tennis and Badminton. The game is designated for promoting the spirit of Olympics and 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The grand opening will have Martial Arts and Dance Performance. Winners will be honored a medal with prize. This event will highlight the International Week in Athens. Preparation for the " Multi-Media Contest"- In the coming Spring, 2008 OUCBI contest featured in short video, music, advertisement, computer games, flash and animated films, will be back! The winner films will go to International Film Festival 2008 in Athena. (July 5th,2007) Project for Students and Scholars Exchanging Program: OUCBI will launch the project connecting US and Chinese Universities, promoting the exchanging programs, focusing on academic and major oriented projects instead of only for language trainings. Programs are open for all majors, helping both side students gain the international experience while they study. ( June 20th, 2007) Jury Committee of CHINA is Judging: The winners of Jury Awards of China will be announced on June 10th, 2007 12 Professors from top Chinese Universities are in the process of finalizing the winners from 328 pieces of art works, as the comparasion with Jury of USA for further cultural exchange. Future exchange meetings are expected.(May 21,2007) Documentary Film is under post-production: Ms.Linling Zha, a graduate student at school of film is producing the documentary and the film will be as part of exchanging exhibition in China.(May 17,2007) Video and Photograph uploaded: Ceremony photos, winners comments, performance videos and Jury Comments have been uploaded. (May 9) Certificates mailed out: Winners please check the mails, certificates have been mailed out. and it takes 10 days to China.(May 5) Awards Ceremony: About 250 guests and students attended the Evening show, local winners excited while waiting for the announcement, certificates are given from jury professors. Performers brought us an amazing evening with music, songs and dance. and finished with a chinese fest.(April 25) Jury Committee finalized the winners to be announced at the Ceremony: 21 professors from Ohio University gave their evaluations to 328 art peices, and results have been counted and published on web right after the Ceremony.
| Business News MEXICAN EXPORTER to China The US based company which previously trade between Europe and US, had contact OUCBI for business consulting. The company plans to enter into China with the direct source of 4 kinds of goods from Mexico. OUCBI will provide the consulting service, business plans and strategy, also help them to establish business partners and distribution neetworks in China.(Sep. 2007) FILM PRODUCTION Documentry film which is focusing on the Late Master of Frank Lloyd Wright, his school of architecture and his disciples. Partcially funded by the Wright Foudation and Sheng's Trust, this film was directed by film winner from CA. OUCBI will be in part of the producing management and contact with Wright living disciples all over the world. This legecy will be preserved in the film in image and discover more about how Wright influenced their life and works.( July, 2007) OUCBI for Energy Saving: Green Earth week, OUCBI's solution is to export solar energy devices to Mexico. The biggest manufacture in China, among the top of the world, Suntech Group tries to explore more markets besides European countries. (April 20, 2007) Business Club invited OUCBI president for speech: As a guest speaker in the Lion Club meeting at OhioU Inn, Lifeng Wu expressed the business opportunity for Athens when encounter China.The members were local business men, professors and judges.(April 15, 2007) Business for Art Exhibition and Trading: As a bridge connect US and China, OUCBI is dadicated for Art exchange programs and trading. OUCBI will organize seriese art shows and sales for the local artists and Chinese artists. Export US whisky to China: With more money in their pockets, Chinese have the choice for the luxry goods from the West. For many years, European countires enjoyes the benifits of the high end product export to China, like whiskey, about 100 times more than US.OUCBI tried to help open the market for US companies.(Athens News and Parkersburg News reported) | Other Events: OUCBI Master of 8 Ball Pool Tournament Sep.29 2007 OUCBI sponsored and organized this game in Baker Center. The final 5 top players will go to OSU for the visiting match. OUCBI host table tennis match with OSU The top players from OSU and OU had a tournament, OSU won the team game,with only one player lost. Since one of the best player from OU absent for this game, we will have another game visiting OSU soon. 2007 OUCBI and CSSA Table Tennis Competition: May 25, Friday, Ping Center. About 40 people particapted. Japanese player Kosei won the gold of Men's single. Luyi Chen won the women's single. Lifeng Wu and Xiao Pan won the doubles. International Street Fair fundrising: as the high light of annual international week, street fair marked the diversity and richness of Athens. OUCBI is well recongized with its program and events. 2007 OUCBI and CSSA Dragon Boat Racing: In Duo Lake, about 40 people participated the annual fesitival in Spring. (May 10, 2007) Earth Week Conference: OUCBI president is invited as speaker to the conference titled : Religion and Environment.
